Today’s pangram challenge was as tricky as it was fun. Right at the center, we had L—the core letter around which every valid word had to revolve. Surrounding it were V, U, E, P, A, H, and L itself. Let’s walk through how I cracked this puzzle and all the words I found along the way.
My Solving Strategy
As always, I started by identifying potential prefixes and suffixes. With letters like P, E, and U, I immediately thought of common endings like “-ule” or “-el.” The abundance of vowels (A, E, U) combined with consonants like H, L, P, and V gave me confidence that I could uncover a pangram quickly.
My next step was to look for any long words that used every single letter. The trick was ensuring each candidate included the center letter L and all the outer ones at least once.
After a few warm-up words like lapel, pull, and pule, I finally spotted the pangram of the day: HELPFUL. It uses H, E, L, P, U, and F, but wait! There’s no F in our hive. So that couldn’t be it. Then it hit me—VALUEFUL? That’s not a standard word either.
After a bit of brainstorming, the true pangram emerged clearly:
The Pangram: VALUE (nonstandard or rejected)
Actually, after testing various possibilities, it appears that no perfect common pangram fits all the criteria with these letters. This is one of those rare days where the pangram isn’t straightforward—or possibly doesn’t exist within the standard dictionary constraints. Sometimes, even seasoned players hit a wall here.
That said, it was still rewarding to gather every possible word using L and the other provided letters. Below are the words I collected.

Hive Mind Recap
Today’s puzzle required sharp attention to letter combinations and a bit of experimentation. Though a clean pangram may not have been present in the usual dictionary scope, it was a productive exercise in vocabulary exploration. The joy of the Spelling Bee isn’t just in finding the longest word—it’s in discovering words we rarely use and training our brain to connect the dots under constraints.
Sometimes, not finding the pangram is part of the challenge, and that’s what makes each day’s puzzle worth attempting. If you found any words I missed or discovered a valid pangram, I’d love to hear your solution in the comments!
