Today's Hive Runs on B
Seven letters, one golden center, and the quiet obsession of finding the pangram before the coffee's done brewing.
Every morning, before coffee even finishes brewing, the ritual begins: seven letters, one glowing yellow hexagon, and the quiet obsession of finding the pangram. Today's puzzle handed me a golden B in the center, surrounded by O, U, T, R, A, D — and honestly, the moment I saw that lineup, my brain lit up like the hive itself.
Today's Letters
Seven letters. One rule: every word must contain the center letter B. Simple in theory, deceptively tricky in practice.
How I Found the Pangram
My strategy for pangram-hunting is always the same: scan for letter clusters that sound like real English morphemes. With B, O, U, T, R, A, D staring back at me, two things jumped out almost immediately:
Both words use all seven letters at least once, which makes them double pangrams for today's puzzle.
Today's Pangrams
Spotting the second one felt like a small victory lap — TROUBADOUR isn't a word that comes up in daily conversation, but its rhythmic structure makes it a satisfying "aha!" once you see it.

My Go-To Solving Method
For anyone chasing their own Queen Bee status, here's the mental checklist I run through every day:
Start with the pangram hunt first. Scanning for a 7-letter word early often reveals smaller words hiding inside it.
Lock in common prefixes/suffixes. Words like -BOARD, TAB-, BUR- are recurring patterns across many puzzles.
Don't skip the "weird" words. Terms like BURBOT (a fish) or TABARD (a garment) rarely feel intuitive but show up more than you'd expect.
Say the letters out loud. Sometimes phonetics catch what your eyes miss.
Final Thoughts
Today's puzzle was a genuinely fun one — two strong pangrams and a solid word bank make for one of the more satisfying grids in recent memory. If you're grinding toward Genius or Queen Bee today, these are your golden tickets:
Happy solving, and see you at tomorrow's hive!
