Some Spelling Bee grids take a while to crack. Others practically announce themselves the moment you lay eyes on them.
Today's puzzle fell into the second category — center letter M, surrounded by A, L, P, I, T, O — and the pangram surfaced almost as fast as I could read the board.
Today's Letters
As always, the rules are fixed: every valid word must contain the center letter M, run at least four letters long, and draw only from the seven letters shown. Repeats are allowed, but every letter used has to come from this set.
How I Found the Pangram
I always start pangram-hunting by treating the outer letters like scrambled Scrabble tiles and looking for a natural-sounding English word buried inside them. With A, L, P, I, T, O circling the hive, one combination jumped out almost instantly:
That's what makes it such a clean, satisfying pangram — nothing forced, nothing wasted.

It's a word most of us use in everyday conversation, which made spotting it feel less like a lucky guess and more like the letters were practically handing it to me.

My Go-To Solving Method
If you're chasing Genius or Queen Bee status today, here's the approach that consistently gets me there:
Look for the pangram first. A full 7-letter word almost always reveals a cluster of shorter words hiding inside it — OPTIMA and TAMP both became obvious the moment I locked in OPTIMAL.
Scan for the center letter in the middle of words, not just the start. M sitting mid-word (as in PALM, LAMP, or MAIM) is easy to miss if you only search for words that begin with the required letter.
Don't overlook double-letter words. IMAM and MAIM both use M twice, and those repeat-letter combinations are frequently skipped by solvers scanning too quickly.
Group by length as you go. Sorting words into 4-, 5-, and 6-letter buckets mentally helps you spot gaps and catch words you might have missed.
Final Thoughts
Today's puzzle is a great example of a pangram that rewards pattern recognition over brute force. OPTIMAL ties the whole board together cleanly, and the surrounding word list is compact enough to fully clear without hours of guessing. If you've been circling the hive without a breakthrough, this should get you across the finish line.
